THE BASE noticed days ago, a ton of unconfirmed news about the postponement of Colleges of Education reopening dates for level 100 and 300 students who were billed to reopen on the 8th of the first month of the year January, 2022 as a result of the the recent CETAG strike which compels teachers of CoEs to withdraw their services until they are addressed by the government.. In response to these unconfirmed truths UCC has come out with the finalized reopening dates for all levels in its affiliate Colleges of Education. The arrangements are provided below.
1. The Calendar for the First Semester will cover 14-Weeks for ALL LEVELS; spread from Jan 8, 2022 to Jun 10, 2022. There are no changes in reopening dates unless communicated later.
2. The Calendar for the Second Semester will cover 14-Weeks for ALL LEVELS; spread from May 29, 2022 to Dec 23, 2022
3. First Semester Reporting Schedule
a. Levels 100 and 300 students will report on January 8, 2022.
b. Levels 200 students will report on Feb 20, 2022.
4. Second Semester Reporting Schedule
a. Level 100 students will report on May 29, 2022
b. Level 200 students will report on Jul 24, 2022
c. Level 300 students will report on Sep 4, 2022
d. Level 400 students will report on Jun 12, 2022
5. For Increased Contact Hours, PRINCOF agrees to:
a. Double the Contact Hours for teaching and learning during the fourteen (14) Weeks
with the view of covering the entire syllabus.
b. Operate flexible Class Sessions for mornings, afternoons and evenings according to the need.
NB: disregard circulating documents and unsolicited materials purporting a postponement of reopening dates.
