A circulating communique from the student wing of the New Patriotic Party(NPP)  indicates that the issues over the delay in the payment of trainee allowances has become the bone of contention in the confideration. A way forward however, has been provided which they, , through its  secretariat, are postulating that the government of Ghana has released funds to the Students Loan Trust Fund for a partial disbursement of trainee allowances which should be expected this month, November. The communique further stated that, the other half payments will be made in the coming month, December.

Update on the Delay of Allowance

Good afternoon to you all. 

I deem it great pleasure coming into your offices this time. 

Upon deliberations with some stakeholders concerning the delay of payment of the  Allowances to teacher trainees. I am glad to inform you, that, with effect from this month, Half of the stipend will be paid into your various Ezwich accounts. The remaining balance will be paid hopefully on next month. 

As it stands, the money has been paid to the SLTF awaiting disbursement. We appreciate your composure, and plead you maintain same as we await the alerts.

As these kind of communiques have become very rampant during these trying times for teacher trainees, any failure in the said payments are likely to cause a series of brouhahas among students and the government at large.
